Hacking my way through the jungle of mini-sessions...
I love the thought of MINI SESSIONS. They're quick. They're special. And they're so unique...cause people are unique. Hacking into the world of mini session is proving to be quite a challenge (for me at least). Every time I think of a theme or time I manage to miss a detail and the whole idea goes to pieces. So with fall a whole season a way, I'm trying to get everything planned and straighten out so that I can hit the park with lots of beautiful families and some lovely fall weather.
Isn't this family just gorgeous? They're expecting baby Oliver to make an appearance NEXT WEEK. And Joslin just looks great, doesn't she. The Pickings are a seriously adorable family.
I also experimented with some new editing techniques...which is very exciting :)
Till next time,

Spring
Spring is coming! The snow is melting, we have an abundance of mud in Minnesota, and the temperature is rising to such a high temperature that car engines now turn over without a problem, you can feel your ears and nose while walking outside, and you don't have to keep your phone next to your body to keep the battery from freezing and dying. Spring is a wonderful thing...
Minnesotans take warmth very seriously. It's only legitimately warm for a few months. It's supposed to be 50 degrees next week and I'm anticipating the multitudes of northerners brandishing coral shorts, sandals, and graphic t-shirts. Life is good here.
Also, I have the pleasure of heading out to the park later to capture adorable photos of a young family who is expecting a new baby NEXT. WEEK. I'm so happy for them! Before I sign off, I just want to thank the people who encouraged me to start pursuing a photography career, and the people who share my name with their friends, and the people who share every single Facebook post I put out. I'm so thankful for you all. You made this little dream possible. I'm so blessed.

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!
Onto the next exciting thing, I used to get so jealous when I read Instagram posts about photographers who would wake up and reply to all their new possible clients. I wanted to be in their shoes so badly! I am ecstatic to announce that yesterday morning I had a message waiting in my inbox. I real message from a possible client. Yes, it was only 1 message. But I get excited about the little victories.
We also had a crazy snow storm, which was awesome. And it's only Tuesday. Lots of good stuff happening! #blessed

Watermarks
Watermarks are a simple way to mark your property and they only take a few seconds to make.
Start with your image. Crop it to the correct side, and try to keep the watermark in the same spot.
On your overlay panel, select "ADD". This will turn your black background into a transparent background, and keep your logo in white. Fade it by 50% to make it subtle.
Tada! Super quick and easy!
